"The Secrets of the

If one wishes to know love, one must live love, in action.

The Tao of Love

“Your task is not to seek for love but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it.”
~ Rumi ~

The Tao of Love is about walking your own path – a path that is rooted in love. Each one of us needs to find their own way. We cannot walk the path of another, and we cannot step into the footprints of someone else. We are the artists carving our own unique path into the landscape of life as we walk, guided by our inner wisdom and practising opening to love in each moment. The journey itself is the goal.

Taoist meditations and practices enable us to connect with our own inner wisdom, cultivate our radiance and open us to have a richer experience of life.

One of the foundational Taoist meditations is the Inner Smile. The Inner Smile is a meditation and an attitude towards life and ourselves. We can cultivate the Inner Smile throughout the day at any time to fill our hearts with love, compassion and acceptance. It opens us to the ability to give and receive more love in our life.

The Inner Smile teaches us to accept and love what is. And acceptance does not mean that you are not going to change something. It means you are accepting that what is now, is what is now. It is a surrendering into what is. And acceptance and surrender have magic and power. It is often when we fully accept and surrender to what is that situations and circumstances change.

Our thoughts, ideas, intentions, emotions, states of being are all expressions of energy and consciousness. Acupuncturists, bodyworkers, qi gong masters are some of the many practitioners who know that the harmonious flow of energy throughout our body is vital to our health and well-being. Modern physics has only recently recognised the fact that we are all energy, yet Taoists have known this for thousands of years and became masters at working with energy. They mapped out the highly sophisticated energy system and described in detail how to use and enhance energy.

Taoists have always understood that sexuality is an integral part of our health and wellness. Sexuality is not suppressed but embraced. The sexologists of ancient China found that youthfulness, health and longevity can be attained during blissful hours in the bedchamber. When sexual energy is combined with the loving energy of the heart it becomes the greatest healing force in the world.

The sexual energy practices assist us women to reconnect with our feminine essence, cultivate our sexual energy and let our radiance shine.

We are living in a very yang-oriented world. Many of us women have strongly cultivated our yang side and compromised cultivating our yin, our feminine essence. The Tao is essentially a philosophy that honours the feminine. And for us women, it is important to connect with our feminine core to balance the yang way of living which is so prominent in our society. And so we can serve the world.
