Pleasure heals...

1.   Feeling good is good for you. Positive mental and emotional states are beneficial to your health. Mind and body are one system and how you feel and think affects your body.

2.   Those activities that give us pleasure stimulate the flow of endorphins. Endorphins are our body’s ‘feel-good’ chemicals. They are responsible for feelings of euphoria or what is also known as ‘runner’s high‘. Endorphins are also our own natural pain killers.

3.   Stress is prominent in most of our lives. We all know that stress is devastating to one’s health. Experiencing pleasure is soothing to our body. Good feelings activate the parasympathetic nervous system, relax the heart and lower blood pressure.

4.   It has been proven that positive states enhance our immune system and increase the number of white blood cells. Every experience of pleasure activates our immune system and boosts our body's natural defences.

5.   The more we are able to enjoy all pleasures of life, the more we are able to enjoy sexual pleasure. People with unfulfilling and unsatisfying sex lives are often individuals who hold themselves back from enjoying other kinds of pleasure as well.

6.   We learn best through positive enforcement and reward. We can grow through joy rather than through pain. It is much more effective to build on that which you want to have than trying to get rid of that which you don't want to have.

7.   Feeling good raises your vibration and attracts more good feelings and experiences into your life. Whatever you focus on increases over time so you can cultivate pleasure by focusing on the pleasure you receive in your day-to-day activities, moment-by-moment.
